I'm Mike Ende, the founder of Rockstar Roofing. Before I ever put my own name on a truck, I spent five years working at another roofing company right here in Northeast Ohio — and I learned this trade from the ground up.

I started as a laborer. I tore off old shingles in the August heat, hauled debris, set ladders, and learned what a properly installed roof actually looks like at every stage. From there, I moved into management, where I learned how a job site really runs — how to schedule crews, source materials, keep timelines tight, and handle the dozens of small problems that come up on every project.

Eventually, I found my place in sales and customer service. That's where I realized something that bothered me: too many homeowners in Northeast Ohio were getting either rock-bottom service from cheap contractors or sky-high prices from the big national chains. There wasn't a real middle ground — a company that delivered the quality and professionalism of a large outfit at a price a working family could actually afford.

So in 2024, I started Rockstar Roofing to be that middle ground. My goal is simple: give homeowners the same experience they'd get from a larger company, for a fraction of the price.

When the last nail is driven and the cleanup truck pulls away, I want my customers to feel one thing: satisfied.

Satisfied with the initial contact. Satisfied with the estimate. Satisfied with how the crew showed up, how they worked, and how they treated your property. Satisfied that every question got a direct answer and every concern got a real solution. And satisfied that what you paid matched the quality of what you got.

That's the standard I hold every job to — whether it's a small repair in Conneaut or a full tear-off in Mentor.

I've worked at the kind of roofing company where the homeowner becomes a number on a clipboard. That's not how this works.

Because we're a local, owner-operated company based right here in Ashtabula, every job comes with direct access to me. Not a call center. Not a junior rep reading from a script.
